The process
HOW A DIAMOND TOOL
IS MADE
Every diamond tool is produced through a manufacturing process that is strictly controlled, in which technical expertise, selection of materials and mechanical precision work together.
01
PLANNING AND PREPARATION
In this phase, we analyze the customer’s specific requirements and develop the optimal product formulation to meet their needs.
02
COMPOSITION AND MIXING
During this stage, the designed formulation is prepared and mixed for several hours until a perfectly homogeneous compound is achieved.
03
COLD PRESSING
The blended powder and diamond mixture is placed into a press, where it is compacted and given its initial shape, forming the diamond segment.
04
SINTERING
The cold-pressed segments are positioned in dedicated graphite molds and sintered under high temperature and pressure conditions.
05
QUALITY CONTROL
After sintering, the diamond segments undergo dimensional inspection and physical property verification to ensure compliance with specifications.
06
DIAMOND SEGMENT CLEANING
In this phase, the diamond segments are cleaned on all sides in order to optimize the welding process onto the tool body.
07
WELDING
The segments are welded onto the appropriate tool bodies according to the customer’s specifications. Welding can be performed either manually or automatically using dedicated machinery.
08
SHARPENING
Once the tool has been welded and properly cooled, it is sharpened using dedicated equipment to ensure optimal cutting performance.
09
FLATNESS AND TENSION CONTROL
For certain tools, such as cutting blades, additional inspections are carried out to verify steel flatness and tension.
10
Packaging and shipping
At this stage, the tool is ready for shipment and is carefully packaged.
In-house production and technical inspection

Tools designed to work better and last longer

The quality of a diamond tool does not depend on a single step, but on the balance between design, materials, production process and final inspection. For this reason, NP Diamant oversees in-house every stage of manufacturing, with the aim of producing products capable of guaranteeing precision, operational continuity and reliability over time. Every tool is developed to meet specific requirements: to improve performance on the material, to reduce the critical issues in production and to offer the customer a solution that is truly tailored to their work.
